American Airlines – Unmatchable Travel Experience
Founded in the year 1930 as American Airways, the airline commenced its operations in the year 1934. It is a major U.S airline but not the flag carrier because the US does not have government-owned commercial airlines. American Airlines has its primary hub located at the Fort Worth International Airport, which also houses its headquarters.
The airline is a subsidiary of the AMR Corporation, and has two affiliates, American Eagle and American Connection. It is a member of the Oneworld alliance network and has code-sharing agreements or joint-business agreements with several airline including nine Oneworld alliance members.
Currently, it has an all Boeing aircraft fleet, with a strong fleet size of about 608 aircraft. To replace several aging aircraft, it placed an order for 260 Airbus aircraft. It provides flight services to a wide network of international and domestic destinations across North America, the Caribbean, South America, Europe, and Asia.

The airline offers a ‘buy on board’ program for short-haul flights and for long-haul flights it provides complimentary food and beverages to the passengers onboard.
